Teen Challenge Uganda began in 2015 and now operates in three facilities, the women’s home in Kampala and men’s home in Kampala and in Gulu. Teen Challenge Uganda has planted two churches in Gulu- Hope community church Tegot and Corner Mega. Each year, Teen Challenge Uganda serves hundreds of thousands men, women and children through its resident and outreach programs. Teen Challenge Uganda is a non-profit organization that relies entirely on the generous donations, funding and volunteer efforts of individuals and organizations throughout Uganda and our partners in order to offer services at no cost to the individual. We know that community involvement and support is an essential component of recovery and necessary to providing services that address the specific needs of the communities involved.
What started out as a dream of overflowing orchards in 1991 has blossomed into a ministry that has touched the lives of thousands of orphans, volunteers, staff, and supporters. Today we are focused on fulfilling our original mission to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Together with our staff we steadfastly devoted to our calling to build God's kingdom through this platform of orphan care.
It is the mission of Teen Challenge to provide youth, adults and children an effective and comprehensive faith-based solution to drug and alcohol addiction as well as other life-controlling problems. We are committed to enabling and equipping those we serve to find freedom from addictive behavior, to become socially and emotionally healthy, physically well and spiritually alive. Teen Challenge reaches out to people from all backgrounds and gives back to local communities with outreaches, events, after-school programs and much more.
