Florella Christian School was founded in 2025 by Pastor Didas Mwesigye, who serves as the school’s Director. The vision for the school was born after years of serving in the community through Hope Outreaches, where many families and children were encountered who lacked consistent guidance, mentorship, and nurturing during their early formative years.
Through this community engagement, it became clear that many children needed more than access to education. They needed discipleship and a supportive learning environment that would shape their character while they were still young. This led to the establishment of Florella Christian School as a place where children could grow academically while also being guided in faith and character.
At the heart of Florella is discipleship. Discipleship at the school means guiding children to live out Christian values such as love, honesty, respect, kindness, and responsibility etc . This is practised through daily devotions, Bible stories, prayer, worship, and positive role modelling by teachers, helping children develop strong character alongside academic growth.
The school currently operates two branches in Gulu District:
The school is supported by qualified and dedicated teachers who combine professional training with care and creativity in teaching. Learning is designed to be interactive and engaging, using storytelling, music, art, play-based learning, and guided exploration to stimulate curiosity and creativity among learners.
Florella Christian School follows the National Early Childhood Development Curriculum while integrating Christian instruction to ensure holistic development. Children are nurtured spiritually, intellectually, socially, and emotionally in a safe and supportive environment.
To educate and disciple children through holistic Christian education, enabling them to discover and fulfill their God-given potential.
To provide affordable and excellent Christian education that nurtures the holistic development of every child while partnering with families and communities to raise responsible individuals who positively impact society.
